HMD Global recently announced its latest Nokia 7.1 smartphone globally and the company is now reportedly preparing to launch the Nokia 7.1 Plus in India. Nokia uploaded a video teasing the upcoming smartphone on Twitter and later took it down, but the video was captured by MySmartPrice and re-uploaded on YouTube. The company will host an event on October 11, where it could unveil the smartphone, alongside the newly announced Nokia 7.1. With captions like “To see the bigger picture” and “A mega display is coming,” the teaser video hints at the presence of a bigger display on the Nokia 7.1 Plus. In terms of specifications, the Nokia 7.1 Plus is rumoured to feature a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with a 2246 x 1080p resolution. It could be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, which is speculated to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. It is expected to launch in at least two variants, one with 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage and another with 6GB RAM with 128GB of onboard storage. Both the variants are said to support memory expansion of up to 400GB via micro SD card slot. The new teaser video suggests that the Nokia 7.1 Plus might feature a dual-rear camera setup. As per the report, it might come equipped with a 12MP + 13MP sensor configuration on the rear and on the front, it could feature a 20 MP camera for selfies. It is expected to be launched running on Android 8.1 Oreo and could be backed up by a 3400mAh battery that also supports fast charging. Nokia 7.1 Specifications The Nokia 7.1 features a 5.84-inch FullHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports HDR10 video playback and the display features a notch on top. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with either 3 or 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of storage. It is backed by a 3,060mAh battery that also supports quick charging.
