Honor 8X was announced last week in India and it is now up for sale. The smartphone is now available for purchase via Amazon, during Wave 2 of the online retailer's Great Indian Festive Sale. The Honor 8X features a notched 6.5-inch notched display with a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio and the company says that it has managed to reduce the bezels on the device to achieve a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also features a dual-rear camera setup and is powered by the company’s Kirin 700 series of new processor. Honor 8X Specifications The Honor 8X is powered by an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC and comes with the company’s GPU Turbo tech that is said to deliver a boost in performance while reducing the battery consumption. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ TFT IPS notched display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The company says it is also TUV Rheinland Certified for eye protection and care. The phone comes in two variants, one with 4GB RAM/64GB of internal storage and another with 6GB RAM, coupled with options to select from either 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage. It is backed by a 3750mAh battery, which can be charged via the micro-USB port, and runs on EMUI 8.2.0 OS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Coming to the optics, the Honor 8X sports a dual camera with 20MP sensor with a f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. The main camera comes with an LED flash and supports scenario detection to recognise over 500 scenes. It can also capture slow-motion videos at 120 fps and 480 fps with an output resolution of 720p. On the front, it sports a 16MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture lens and there’s also the 3.5mm audio jack on the device. Honor 8X Price The 4GB RAM/64GB storage version of the Honor 8X costs Rs 14,999 and its 6GB RAM model with 64GB or 128GB of storage is priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 18,999 respectively. It comes in Black, Blue and Red colour variants. There are some launch offers with the device as well. Amazon is offering Guaranteed Exchange Price of Rs 6,000 if one exchanges the phone in 6-8 months and Rs 5,200 when enchanged after 9-12 months. There’s a 10 percent discount when the Honor 8X is purchased using an ICICI credit or debit card and a 10 percent cashback for Citi bank credit card users. One will also get to a free 6-month screen replacement when buying the phone between Oct 24th – Oct 28th. Vodafone and Idea users can get an additional 360 GB with the phone as well.
