Metro 2033 is a first-person shooter survival horror video game, which you can get for free on Steam today. It should be noted that the original and not the Redux version of the game is free and even though not graphically revamped, it is a game that pushed a PC to its limits, back when it was released. One can head over to this link here to claim it for their Steam account. The gaming title is developed by 4A Games, published by THQ and was released back in 2010 for PC and Xbox 360. The FPS is a thrilling ride that will test your trigger finger, and nerves, while you navigate as a character named Artyom in an underground city. The game is an adaptation from a series of novels. The player will take on Nazi factions, mutant beasts and spooky anomalies that roam around in the city since the surface of the planet has been scorched due to a nuclear wipeout. To top this off, some areas around the underground city are toxic and the protagonist slowly dies if he doesn’t have his gas mask handy, which keeps players hooked to the game and at the edge of their seats. Its sequel, Metro Last Light progresses the story further but we’ll refrain from delving into that and spoiling the game. In other gaming news, PUBG has scrapped the 'One Gun Warrior' event that was supposed to take place this week. The developer's post on Steam states, “Unfortunately, this week's Event Mode has been cancelled to an issue caused when updating the live servers in preparation for this event. We sincerely apologize to players who are disappointed by the event cancellation, who were looking forward to playing the Event Mode this week.” This isn’t the first a PUBG event was cancelled. Earlier, the Platoon Event that was supposed to take place a week ago was cancelled due to a ‘critical error.’ It was supposed to be rescheduled but no date has been revealed yet. 50 players would have participated in the event as part of two teams to battle it out in Erangel.
