Just ahead of Diwali, Micromax has expanded its budget smartphone portfolio by launching two smartphones, Bharat 5 Infinity Edition and Bharat 4 Diwali Edition, for a price of Rs 5,899 and Rs 4,249 respectively. The Bharat 5 Infinity Edition is already available at retails stores in India and Bharat 4 Diwali Edition will be available from November 3. Both the smartphones run on Android Oreo (Go Edition), Google's optimised operating system for low-spec smartphones with entry-level hardware. Android Go also brings with it optimised versions of Google's apps such as Files Go, Maps Go, YouTube Go, Google Assistant Go, amongst others that load faster and do not take up too much space on the device. Micromax has partnered with Reliance Jio and is offering 25GB additional data to users who purchase the new phones. Moreover, buyers will also get extra 5GB data on a recharge of either Rs 198 or Rs 299, for a maximum of five recharges. Bharat 5 Infinity Edition specs Micromax Bharat 5 Infinity Edition features a Full Vision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It it is powered by an unspecified processor which is supported by 1GB RAM and comes with a 16GB onboard storage which can be expanded up to 64GB via a MicroSD card. The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock feature. When it comes to the camera, the smartphone sports a 5MP camera at the back as well as on the front. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. Bharat 4 Diwali Edition specs The Micromax Bharat 4 Diwali Edition features a 5-inch display and with 1GB RAM. It has 8GB local storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The smartphone sports a 5MP camera at the back with flash and a 2MP sensor on the front with flash.
