If you are using a Nokia 6.1 or a 6.1 Plus smartphone then there is good news for you. Nokia has announced that the 6.1 and 6.1 Plus will receive the Android 9 Pie update this month. The update for the Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco will hit the smartphones next month. If you haven’t received the OTA notification with the update on your smartphone, you can always manually check by going into the settings and tapping the software update button. All the smartphones under Nokia’s umbrella are a part of the Android One programme and it is nice to see that the company is staying true to it commitment to updates. Speaking of the specifications of the Nokia 6.1 the smartphone is available in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB Storage. The smartphone has a 5.5-inch full HD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has the Snapdragon 630 SoC and is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The rear of the smartphone has a single 16MP camera and the front has an 8MP selfie shooter. The display of the smartphone is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and the smartphone is made from series 6000 aluminium. Speaking of the 6.1 Plus, it features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ notched display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. The dual-SIM device is backed by a 3060mAh battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0. For shutterbugs, the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes equipped with a 16MP + 5MP dual-rear camera setup with Zeiss lenses and on the front, it sports a 16 MP sensor. Both the cameras feature a f/2.0 aperture and support shooting in Bothie mode. Coming to the Nokia 8, it features a 5.3-inch display with a 2560x1440p resolution which is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The dual-SIM device is backed by a 3090mAh battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0. For shutterbugs, the Nokia 8 comes equipped with a 13MP + 13MP dual-rear camera setup and on the front, it sports a 13 MP sensor. Last but not least, the Nokia 8 Sirocco features a 5.5-inch P-OLED display with a 2560x1440p resolution which is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The dual-SIM device is backed by a 3260mAh battery that also supports Quick Charge 4.0. For shutterbugs, the Nokia 8 comes equipped with a 12MP + 13MP dual-rear camera setup and on the front, it sports a 5MP sensor.
