Disappointing news for those who were looking to play the 'One Gun Warrior' event in PUBG for PC. The event was cancelled dure to issues in updation of the live servers. According to the developer's post on Steam, “Unfortunately, this week's Event Mode has been cancelled to an issue caused when updating the live servers in preparation for this event. We sincerely apologize to players who are disappointed by the event cancellation, who were looking forward to playing the Event Mode this week.” PUBG’s twitter handle has also tweeted out the same message. This week’s One Gun Warrior event would put players' skills to the test with a single weapon. In One Gun Warrior, players would start out with a weapon kit immediately upon drop. No need to scrounge for a weapon. Players would however have to scavenge ammo along with other supplies. There would be no weapons spawn in the Erangel map world at all. Players would have the option to pick up a fallen foes weapons or continue with the one they have. The event was for PUBG on the PC only. Its sad that the event got cancelled due to technical reasons, but we hope the technical issues are fixed and the event is live soon. This isn’t the first time that we have seen a PUBG event get cancelled. The Platoon Event that was to happen a week ago got cancelled due to a ‘critical error’. The developers noted that the event will happen at a later date, but no confirmed date was revealed. The event would have seen two teams of 50 players each battle it out in Erangel. You can read more about the Platoon Event here. On the mobile front, PUBG Mobile was updated to v0.9.0. With the update you get Night Mode, Halloween themed content and costumes.
