Samsung has announced its first ODM smartphone – the Galaxy A6s in China. ODM means that the smartphone has been designed by Samsung but manufactured by a third-party device manufacturer. In this case, it is Wintech. In addition to the A6s, the company has also announced the A9s for China. The A9s sports four cameras at the back. The Samsung Galaxy A9s is the Samsung Galaxy A9 rebranded for China. We had a chance to spend some time with the Galaxy A9 when it launched in Malaysia and in our first impressions, we noted that "Samsung has done well with this mid-range smartphone. It certainly marks a brave, new world of Galaxy phones where Samsung isn’t shying away from innovating in the affordable segment. If these innovations find their way into the company’s upcoming flagships, we’re surely looking at a new era where lower-end smartphones set the tone for the expensive flagships." Samsung didn’t reveal the pricing of the Galaxy A9 when it was announced, but it will be available in select regions from November in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink colour options.
