Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 showed off in YouTube video

Ahead of its launch on December 11 in Indonesia, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 has been leaked in a video on YouTube showing off the phone’s design in entirety. As per the video, the smartphone inherits some of its features from its predecessor, the ZenFone Max Pro (M1). In the video, it is shown that the smartphone will ditch the 18:9 display in favour of a taller one with a small notch as compared to its competitors. It is expected to have a 6.2-inch display with 2280 x 1080 resolution. When it comes to changes on the back, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 is seen having a glass panel instead of aluminum. Although this removes the visible antenna lines, it makes the smartphone vulnerable to breakage. The Zenfone Max Pro M2 retains the dual rear-camera setup and rear fingerprint sensor of the Zenfone Max Pro M1. The camera is stacked vertically like its predecessor. Asus is expected to announce the Zenfone Max Pro M2 by the year-end and make it available for purchase in early 2019. Recently, Asus Indonesia teased the the ZenFone Max Pro M2, confirming that the handset will have a notch on the display, a large battery, an innovative camera and a powerful processor. The company also took a dig at the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and the Realme 2 Pro. Although there is no official word on the specifications, previous teasers and leaks have suggested what hardware the smartphone will carry. The information comes following the company’s previous tweet in which it announced the launch date of the smartphone. A few days ago, tipster Roland Quandt tweeted out some specs of a smartphone claiming that they were the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2's. He also mentioned that Asus may bring some India-centric features in special variants of the smartphones and could launch it in three variants with varying hardware capabilities. According to Quandt’s tweet the smartphone could run on Android Oreo instead of Pie. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 (ZB631KL) could feature a 6-inch Full HD+ display and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It could feature 4GB RAM with options of 64/128GB of storage and is said to feature a triple rear camera setup.
