Xiaomi has launched its Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphone in India. As speculated, the phone succeeds the Redmi Note 5 Pro and been launched in two variants. It features a slightly bigger display with a 19:9 display aspect ratio and a notch on top. The rear camera setup has also been overhauled and the phone runs on MIUI 10 out-of-the-box. There are dual front-facing camera sensors with AI-enabled features as well. Xiaomi has priced the new phone quite strategically as it costs the same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro and will be available at a special discount during its first sale. Redmi Note 6 Pro Specifications The Redmi Note 6 Pro features a 6.26-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD screen with an 19:9 display aspect ratio. The display has a 1080x2280p resolution and it’s protected by a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass. The phone is powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 509 GPU. It comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants and both feature 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The handset is powered by a 4000mAh battery, which is said to last up to 2 days on a single full charge and the phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of camera, the Redmi Note 6 Pro features dual 12MP + 5MP sensors on the back. The 12 MP sensor has a pixel pitch of 1.4um and it’s paired with a f/1.9 aperture lens. The main camera supports dual auto-focus as well. The secondary 5MP sensor helps in depth perception for capturing bokeh shots. On the front, the notch houses a 20MP main sensor that supports 4-in-1 pixel binning and there’s also a secondary 2MP depth sensor. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Price, Availability and Launch Offers The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version of the Redmi Note 6 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999, while its 6GB RAM + 64GB storage version will cost you 15,999. Xiaomi will also ship an ultra slim case with the smartphone and Jio users will get to avail Rs 2,400 instant cashback and up to 6TB of 4G data with the handset. The Redmi Note 6 Pro goes on sale tomorrow at 12 PM via Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores. Only tomorrow, Xiaomi will be offering both variants of the phone at a discounted price of Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999. Xiaomi's sale tomorrow is called the Black Friday Sale and those who purchase the phone using an HDFC card will get Rs 500 instant cashback as well.
