Gaming at 60fps has always been a point of debate between console and PC gamers. While one cannot deny that 60fps gaming is a butter smooth experience, it isn’t a point of conversation in the world of mobile gaming. It looks like that is changing though. The battle royale game Fortnite runs at 60fps on the new iPhones and now Asphalt 9: Legends has been updated to take advantage of the power under the hood of the new iPhones as well. Earlier, 60fps in Asphalt 9 was reserved for the Windows version of the game only. Now the feature is available on Windows and the new iPhones. The game natively runs at 60fps on the iPhone XS, XS Max and iPhone XR. There is no information available as to when the feature will make it to Android and what are the minimum requirements on an Android device to run the game at 60fps. Apart from the fps update, you have access to the Bugatti Chiron Mega Event. The event lets you compete in events each day to unlock the car. A new feature called Slipstream lets players trail behind other cars to charge up nitro. Rival cars can do the same to you in the game. Adding to the roster of cars at your disposal, players now have access to the SIN R1 550, Genty Akylone, Maserati Alfieri and McLaren 570S Coupe with the update. Overall, it is nice to see a game exploit the hardware potential of a smartphone to give users a 60fps experience with impressive graphics. We are looking forward to more games doing the same.
