Asus is all set to launch its Zenfone Max Pro M2 and the Max M2 smartphones at an event today, in India. The Zenfone Max Pro M2 is the supposed successor to the Max Pro M1, while the Max M2 will succeed the Max M1. Both the phones were unveiled in Russia last week and while we already know what internals the devices are packing, the company might change some things around for the India launch. Asus has already announced that the Zenfone Max Pro M2 will be a Flipkart exclusive phone and feature the latest Gorilla Glass 6 protection for the display. The two phones also feature a notched screen, with a 19:9 display aspect ratio. How to watch livestream The launch event for the two phones is set to commence at 12:30 PM on December 11. The company will be broadcasting it via its various social media channels but you can watch it directly from the below-embedded video. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 specifications The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 features a 6.3-inch Full HD notched display with a 2280x1080p resolution. It runs on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, which is manufactured using a 14nm fabrication process. Asus says that the processor has an intelligent acceleration function and Qualcomm AI Engine FinFET LPP energy-saving technology. In Russia, the phone was announced with 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage but it could be launched in other memory variants in India. The camera on the phone consists of dual sensors on the rear with 12MP + 5MP setup and on the front, the phone sports a 13MP shooter housed in the notch. Similar to its predecessor, the handset is backed by a large 5000mAh battery. Asus Zenfone Max M2 specifications After the Honor 8C, the Asus Zenfone Max M2 might just be the second phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 632 SoC. It features a 6.3-inch HD+ notch display with a 1520x720p resolution and a 19:9 display aspect ratio. The phone was originally announced with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, the handset features a dual camera setup on the back with 8MP + 2MP sensor configuration. On the front is a 13MP camera, and the device is backed by a 4000 mAh battery. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, Max M2 expected price in India In Russia, Asus priced the Zenfone Max M2 at RUB 12,990 (Rs 13,700 approx), while its Pro variant was announced at RUB 17,990 (Rs 19,000 approx). The company might price the two phones slightly lower in India as they will go up against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and the Realme 2 Pro.
