Legendary Game Director, Hideo Kojima’s next big title. Death Stranding, is one of (if not the) most anticipated games of 2019. The game also boasts of a number of Hollywood A-listers such as Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and Léa Seydoux. While the developer has teased parts of the game, gamers still have no concrete clue as to what they can expect, or even when it is set to launch. The teasers point towards a setting unlike anything we have seen before. Now though, Norman Reedus might have given us a hint as to when we can expect the game to be available. It might be sooner than one initially thought. Speaking to American actor and writer, Dan Fogler, Norman Reedus said he thinks Death Stranding may be out “early this coming year.” So it is possible that me might get to play the game within the next few months. This lines up with a recent leak that pointed towards a June 2019 launch. The interview was uploaded by Reddit user, u/edeolivita to the Death Stranding Subreddit. You can listen to the whole thing here (discussion about the game starts just after the 1 hour 10 minute mark). Reedus also brings up the fact that he was initially supposed to work with Kojima on a separate game, but that “kinda fell apart.” Reedus is of course, talking about the ill fated Silent Hills game that never got made. The only thing that gamers got was the P.T (Playable Teaser), which saw players running around a single, L- shaped corridor. It was arguably scarier than most horror titles. Reedus also revealed some more information about Death Stranding. He said that the game is more about “bringing people together” and “building bridges.” Also, that his character has a phobia of being touched, and that phobia leaves the player-character over time. It also seems like players will be faced with a lot of decisions to make in the game. For those who do not know, Kojima is the man behind the Metal Gear series of title and has also worked on other games titles including Zone of the Enders and Castlevania. For now, Death Stranding remains one of the most anticipated titles in gaming right now. And that doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon unless Valve suddenly decides to announce the next installment in the Half Life series in the coming weeks.
