The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has received a system update that bring along notable changes like better face unlock, faster fingerprint unlocking, and better photo quality. Huawei claims that the update will improve face unlock performance in “certain scenarios,” while the in-display fingerprint sensor should be faster too. The 523MB size update, listed as version 9.0.0.142 (build number C316E11R1P16), also brings the November 2018 security patch. Also, the update also brings improved photo quality, better positioning in Google Maps, and a bug fix for Google Messages not displaying a notification badge. Huawei Mate 20 Pro runs on the latest Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, which is the company’s first processor to be manufactured on the 7nm process, and feature a triple-rear camera setup. The phones come with Dual-NPU, Leica Triple Camera with Leica Ultra Wide Angle Lens and HUAWEI SuperCharge supporting high-speed 40W charging. Huawei Consumer Business Group India recently announced that the company is foraying into offline retail with its flagship device, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and opened ‘Experience focused’ Popups for the device. The company also announced that it plans to open 100 exclusive stores and 1000 experience stores by 2020. Huawei flagged-off its offline presence with popups in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru across malls and corporate offices from December 4 to December 16.
