The much-talked about Samsung Galaxy A8s which is reported to come with an in-display punch-hole camera has been spotted listed on the US inspection agency FCC. The device has allegedly got the certification with the model number SM-G8870. The FCC documents did not show the Galaxy A8s smartphone itself but shows a screenshot with the FCC certification. In the screenshot, you can notice that there is a White space in the upper left corner of the display besides the other notifications in the status bar. That is allegedly the place where the 'cut-out' for the camera is placed. The galaxyclub.nl says that the aspect ratio of the device could be longer than it has been seen in Samsung’s 2018 smartphones. The screen of the Galaxy A8s seems to have an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9 as compared to other models like the Galaxy S9 which has an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Recently, an image of the screen protector with a punch hole on the top left corner for the camera was found circulating on the internet. There's also a small slit on the top for the earpiece, thin bezels and a chin. This is one of the four types of display designs that Samsung showcased at its annual developers conference. The first mention of the Samsung Galaxy A8s in October was at the tail end of the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A9s smartphone in China. At that time the company did not disclose all the details about this handset, but mentioned that this particular unit would come with “first-time adoption” technology. During the developers conference, the South Korean company introduced a display with the “Infinity O” moniker to describe a full-screen panel with a small cutout in the top-left corner to house the front-facing camera, which could have a 24MP sensor. According to a press render, the Galaxy A8s will come with three cameras on the back. The three lenses are vertically aligned like they are in the Galaxy A7 (2018) - on the top left of the back panel. There is a small LED flash under the camera module and an elliptical fingerprint sensor in the middle. It is assumed that the Galaxy A8s will get the same camera configuration as the Galaxy A7 (2018), which is an 8MP 120-degree Ultra Wide Lens, a 5MP depth-sensing camera and a third 24MP camera on the back.
