If you are one looking forward to Death Stranding, then you aren’t alone. The game which made by legendary video game veteran Hideo Kojima has garnered a lot of attention especially because little is known about the premise or gameplay of the game. Kojima is best known for his work on the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Metal Gear Sold V (read our review here) was the last game to in the franchise to be made by Kojima before he departed from Konami. Officially, there is no information about a release date from Kojima Productions (the developer behind the game) or Sony who is publishing the game. However, Walmart Canada has listed Death Stranding on its website with a release window of June stating that the game will ship on June 30. Walmart Canada infamously outed Rage 2 before E3 so the seller has a history of leaking information before intended. Also, Game Awards host, Geoff Keighley tweeted, “Today we start transitioning into #TheGameAwards world premiere land. There are a LOT of games we won’t be talking about at all until the show (All eyes on you @WalmartCanada) but we do have some great things to tease/announce in the week ahead.” Teasing Walmart Canada for its leaking history, it is possible that Walmart Canada is playing along and revealing information about one of the most anticipated games. Replying to a tweet by Yinob who posted a screenshot of Walmart Canada’s listing of Death Stranding, Walmart Canada said, “Hi Yinob. As per the information stated for this item, this is a pre-order that will ship in June.” Looking at the relationship history between Geoff Keighley and Hideo Kojima, the least we can expect is a new trailer of Death Stranding at the Game Awards. However, if we get a release date, then nothing like it. In other Death Stranding information, US TV show host Conan O'brien recently visited Japan and during his visit, he had an opportunity to interact with Hideo Kojima at Kojima Productions. Honouring Kojima’s request, Conan O'brien said that he will share his experience with Death Stranding once Kojima has made some official announcement. This could co-inside with the Game Awards announcement. Conan O'brien has a funny take on gaming with his segment called Clueless Gamer. Till date, Kojima hasn’t disappointed with any game that he has been a part of. Kojima has toyed with us in many ways through his games but at the end of the day they are experiences worth enduring to reach the finale. There is almost no information about the gameplay of Death Stranding and whatever information has been revealed has led to more questions than answers. Death Stranding is littered with a stellar star cast which includes the likes of Guillermo Del toro, who has given his appearances, but the motion capture and voice acting is done by someone else. Norman Reedus has provide his likeness, motion capture and voice as the lead protagonist. Norman Reedus is best known for his work in the Walking Dead. There is also Mads Mikkelsen who has provided his voice, mo-cap and likeness as the antagonist in the game. Lindsay Wagner also stars in the game and in case you don’t know who she is, she was famous for her TV and film work in the late 70s and 80s. Rounding off the known star cast is video game voice acting legend Troy Baker. He has played the protagonist in the Last of Us and has lent his voice and mo-cap to well-known franchises like Uncharted, God of War, Metal Gear Solid V, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Bioshock Infinite and many many more.
