Xiaomi is offering a new MIUI beta update for the Poco F1 and it brings with it a super slo-mo mode as well as a Super Low-Light mode. The announcement was made by the General Manager of Poco India, C Manmohan on Twitter. The beta bumps up the OS’ version number to MIUI 10.8.12.4 and adds 960fps slo-mo recording, while the Super Low-Light mode should considerably improve the quality of photos taken in low-light conditions. There is also a small change in the Apps section of the Settings menu. It should be noted that since this is a beta version of the OS, some features may not work as expected. The Poco F1 was launched back in August this year and offers an impressive set of specifications for its price. The phone is available in multiple variants at a starting price of Rs 20,999. However, the company recently announced that it was offering a discount of up to Rs 5,000 on the device through Flipkart and Mi.com between December 6 and 8. In terms of specifications, the Poco F1 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with liquid cooling. It features a ‘notched’ 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. At the back of the phone is a dual camera setup with a 12MP + 5MP configuration. At the front is a 20MP unit. The Poco F1 sports a 4000mAh battery, with QuickCharge 3.0 technology. It is available in a total of four variants. The base variant offers 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage, while the one above that offers 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. The top-end variant offers 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. There is also a special Armoured Edition of the phone that offers 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, but comes with an differently designed rear panel. These features are only available in the latest beta version of MIUI 10 for POCO, so handle it with a little care.
