PUBG Mobile may be a free-to-play game but even then, the game is making a bit of money. Back in November last year, it was reported that the game raked in $32.5 million in revenue. How it does this is by offering hardcore players a little extra through its Royale Seaon Passes and in-game cosmetic items like costumes. These are purchased via UC (Unknown Cash), the in-game currency. And the only way you can get those is by forking over real-world money. Usually, making the payment for the currency is via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, however, it looks like there is a way players can pay for the currency via Paytm through their browser. Step 1 Head over to http://bit.ly/2G60xx2. You will then be automatically redirected to the page where you can make the purchase. Step 2 Give the credentials by either logging in via Facebook (if your PUBG Mobile account is linked to Facebook) or by entering your player ID. You can check your player ID by tapping your portrait in the top-right cover of the main menu. You can see your ID in the top-left section of the new menu that will open. Step 3 The system should now automatically recognise you by your nickname. Ensure that it is the right one. Step 4 Now you have to choose Paytm as the preferred mode of payment, and below that, you should be able to see the options you have. You can now pick one and then head over to making the final payment. Step 5 Now you will have to feed in your email address and phone number. This is used to create the billing information and send you the invoice for the same. After that, you will be redirected to the payment gateway, where you will have to make the final payment via netbanking or UPI. The UC should be sent over to your in-game inbox soon after, which will allow you to redeem it. It is also pretty interesting to note that buying UC from Paytm may give you a little extra to play with. For example, buying 60 UC from the in-game store costs Rs 79, which is the same as buying it from Paytm, however, you get an an extra 15 UC. Similarly, paying Rs 799 in-game gives you 600 + 60 UC. However, paying the same via Paytm nets you 600 + 170 UC. We independently clarified this with the guys over at PUBG Mobile and they have confirmed that this is quite legitimate. It should also be noted that this is also a good way to gift UC to your friends, as long as you have their ID.
