Highlights: PUBG Mobile to get zombies this week or the next Exact location of zombies in the game is not known Zombies on PUBG Mobile will arrive sometime this week, or latest by next week. Tencent Games, the developer of the popular Battle Royale game, has been teasing the event for quite some time now. Now, PUBG Mobile’s Twitter handle just revealed a new teased image along with a link to a revamped PubG Mobile website. Quite expectedly, it’s now in the theme of the undead. The tweet reads, “#PUBGMRE2 is almost here. Will you survive?” #PUBGMRE2 is almost here. Will you survive? @RE_Games https://t.co/CZQs29TLvW pic.twitter.com/roSz2f9bC2 — PUBG MOBILE (@PUBGMOBILE) January 22, 2019 The zombie mode in PUBG Mobile comes after Tencent Games announced a partnership with RE Games to promote the much-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 2 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The teaser shared on Twitter reveals a Level 3 helmet from the game affected by an organism, typical to what we have seen on the Resident Evil games before. The helmet has a vial of blue liquid stuck to it that glows in the video teaser. The visor shows reflections of scenes from the gameplay of zombie mode as the organism and the blue liquid changes colour. It certainly looks eerie. Previously, we have seen black hand prints and even dead zombies in Erangel, which led us to believe a zombie mode is imminent. Later, in the beta mode, Erangel’s waiting area had zombies walking around even though you couldn’t interact with them. Tencent Games has been building up to the big launch and based on the new teaser, it’s all but imminent. Someone even leaked the alleged map where there would be zombies to kill. It shows a small patch of grassy land with some houses in it. It seems like a small island, and there’s no way to confirm which map it is a part of, or whether it’s a new map altogether.
