Highlights: Xiaomi Poco F2 concept render shows waterdrop notch The position of the rear dual camera has been changed Last week, the phone was spotted on Geekbench Xiaomi may be working on the next Poco smartphone and the alleged concept render of the rumoured device has now surfaced on the internet. The render, published by tipster Ben Geskin on Twitter, shows a black/dark grey colour device with a waterdrop notch. Apart from the different display, the device in the image also features multiple changes on the back panel. The position of the dual-camera has been changed and the setup is now located on the top left corner. To recall, the Poco F1 had a centrally-aligned dual-camera setup on the back panel and a fingerprint sensor was situated below the module. In the alleged Poco F2, the Poco branding is seen in the same place as the Poco F1 and so are the volume and power buttons. The display on the Poco F1 had a regular rectangular notch housing an ambient light sensor, earpiece, a 20MP camera and a proximity sensor. This setup might change on the Poco F2, renders of which show a thinner chin compared to its predecessor. The news comes a week after a smartphone labelled “Xiaomi POCO F2” was spotted on Geekbench. The listing revealed some of the key information about the CPU, RAM and the OS of the rumoured smartphone. According to Geekbench, the alleged Poco F2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM. The Poco F1 also features the same configuration under the hood but the Poco F2 is seen running Android 9 Pie OS. In the single-core benchmarking test, the handset scored 2321 points and in the multi-core test, it scored 7564 but these could be the result of the primary tests and a little fine-tuning is expected to improve the final scores of the device. The first Poco F1 scored 2451 in single core tests and 8998 points in multi-core tests. The Xiaomi Poco F2 is also expected to have upgrades in departments like display, camera and battery. To recall, Xiaomi launched the Poco F1 as the cheapest smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It was launched with a starting price of Rs 20,999 and one of the highlighting feature of the Poco F1 is the Liquid Cooling technology that is claimed to keep the temperature of the device under check during intense usage sessions like playing high-graphics games. There is a special Armoured Edition of the Poco F1 which is made with Kevlar aramid fabric. Related Read: Poco F1 Review Xiaomi CEO confirms Redmi will be a separate brand
