Highlights: Huawei P30 Pro camera zoom capabilities allegedly shown off in a video. The video mentions “an unreleased smartphone camera” is used. It hints that the phone will be announced “very soon”. Huawei will launch the P30 Series of smartphones on March 26 in Paris. Just a few days ahead of the launch, a video has been published apparently showing the zoom capabilities of the P30 Pro. The video has been uploaded by a YouTube content creator Parker Walbeck mentioning that some parts of the video have been shot with an “unreleased smartphone camera” that has “pretty crazy zoom technology” and “low light capabilities.” Although there are a lot of phones that fall under this description, Walbeck says that the phone will launch “very soon,” which trims down the choices to the Huawei P30 Pro because the launch event is literally four days away. Further, Huawei has already confirmed that the top variant of the Huawei P30 would feature a periscope-style zoom camera for “super-zoom” capabilities, and is also marketing its phone with shooting well-lit images in low-light conditions. Earlier this year, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's Consumer Business Group shared an image on his official Weibo account leading to speculation that it was taken from the upcoming Huawei P30 Pro's quad-camera setup. The company’s Marketing Vice President, Clement Wong reportedly confirmed that the picture was taken handheld and processed in-device. In the video, Walbeck says that the phone has “several different camera lenses” suggesting that it could be the Huawei P30 Pro. Walbeck also says that the phone “will redefine the way we shoot from smartphone” and this somewhat matches the Yu’s description along with a teaser video. “Look farther, see more, explore a step closer! March 26, Paris, France, Rewrite The Rules!,” Yu wrote with the video that he posted on Weibo a few weeks ago. The company is keeping the overall design still hidden but it somewhat cements previous claims of the phone being aimed at photography. The P30 Pro is tipped to feature a 40MP + 8MP + 20 MP triple-camera configuration. The main camera is tipped to support 960fps super slow-mo video recording, along with OIS and PDAF support. It may have an additional fourth sensor, which will be a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor. On the front, it is speculated to sport a 12MP front camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens and support OIS and EIS. Huawei has also announced that it would launch the phones in India shortly after it does in Paris. Related Read: Huawei P30, P30 Pro, P30 Lite European prices revealed
