Highlights Oppo A5s listed on Oppo’s Taiwanese website as Oppo AX5s. The new phone features some design changes as compared to the Oppo A5. The device offers a new chipset in the form of the MediaTek MT 6765 (Helio P35). Oppo has quietly unveiled its new AX5s smartphone. The phone has been listed on the company’s Taiwanese website. The device’s predecessor, the Oppo AX5 was launched at the Oppo A5 in many markets, including India. So it stands to reason that the phone will launch as the Oppo A5s if the company launches it in the country. As the name would suggest, the new phone is pretty much the same as its predecessor, with a few additions. Design-wise, the phone ditches the faceted design of the rear panel of the Oppo A5, and switches to a solid colour scheme. Another change is that the new Oppo A5s no longer offers a fingerprint sensor. However, the dual-rear camera setup remains. At the front, the Oppo A5s sports a smaller, water drop notch design. In terms of hardware, the Oppo A5s is powered by a MediaTek MT6765 (Helio P35) SoC with 3GB RAM. The device packs a 4230mAh processor and offers 64GB of onboard storage. The phone features a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. In terms of optics, the Oppo A5s packs a 13MP+2MP dual-rear camera, while at the front it offers a single 8MP unit. The device is currently available in only Red and Black colour variants. It should be noted that the price of the Oppo A5s (AX5s) has not yet been revealed and nor is there any information of the phone being made available in India. Oppo recently launched the Oppo F11 Pro smartphone in India. The new phone is priced at Rs 24,990 in the country and is available in Thunder Black and Aurora Green colour variants. At the back of the phone is a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. The device is powered by a MediaTek P70 SoC with 6GB RAM. The phone offers 64GB of built-in storage and packs a 4000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The highlight of the phone however, is its camera setup. The Oppo F11 pro packs a 48MP+5MP rear-camera setup that shoots 12MP photos by default, but does give users the option to shoot at native 48MP. Oppo has also adopted the pop-up camera design for the 16MP front camera. Related reads Oppo F11 Pro first impressions: Something to offer for everyone
