The announcement was made on Twitter by the company’s Global VP and India CEO, Manu Jain and the company’s second Android One smartphone will now be available for Rs 11,999, down from its previous price of Rs 13,999. This places the phone in the same price range as its newly launched Redmi Note 7, however, the Redmi 7 features an updated design with a waterdrop notch and runs on MIUI 10, while the Mi A2 has an 18:9 display aspect ratio and as mentioned, runs on stock Android 9 Pie OS. The Xiaomi Mi A2 sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor, which is clocked at 2.20GHz. The smartphone sells in a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, which was originally priced at Rs 15,999 and a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant priced at Rs 18,999.
