Highlights: Xiaomi Poco F2 spotted with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and Android Q on Geekbench. The phone scores 1776 points in single-core and 6097 points in multi-core tests. The scores are considerably less than the scores of other Snapdragon 855-powered phones. Xiaomi launched the Poco F1 as the cheapest phone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. There has been a lot of talk about the successor of the phone and it seems that the Chinese company has started to test the Poco F2 internally. The Xiaomi Poco F2 has been spotted on Geekbench powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform and running the yet-to-be-released Android Q OS. The most interesting thing about the listing is the RAM of the phone. It shows that the phone has 4GB RAM, and the impact of low RAM can be seen on the scores. According to the Geekbench listing, the Xiaomi Poco F2 with 4GB RAM achieves a scores of 1776 points in single-core and 6097 points in multi-core tests. As compared to other phones powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC, which scored over 3000 points in single core and over 10000 points in multicore tests respectively, these scores are quite less. Readers should note that these are initial test numbers and the company is likely to do a little tweaking to optimise performance in sync with the available hardware. Previously the Poco F2 was spotted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB RAM and Android 9 Pie OS. The older Geekbench listing with last year's flagship SoC showed the phone scoring 2321 points in single-core and 7564 points in multi-core tests. Recently, an alleged concept render of the Poco F2 device surfaced on the internet. The render, published by tipster Ben Geskin on Twitter, showed a black/dark grey colour device with a waterdrop notch. The position of the dual-camera has changed and unlike the previous model where the cameras were in the centre, the setup is now located on the top left corner. The renders also show that the Poco F2 branding is on the same spot as it was seen in the Poco F1. The latest sighting of the upcoming Poco flagship comes a few days after an alleged Xiaomi Poco F1 Lite smartphone was also spotted on the Geekbench Browser. The device was seen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with 4GB of RAM. The listing on Geekbench’s website also stated that the smartphone runs Android 9 Pie out of the box. It revealed that the phone scored 1341 on the single-core and 4830 on the multi-core tests. Since the Xiaomi Poco F1 was the cheapest Snapdragon 845 phone, consumers would be expecting the successor in a similar price bracket. To recall, Xiaomi launched the Poco F1 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC at a starting price of Rs 20,999. It comes with a Liquid Cooling technology to keep the temperature of the device under check during intense usage sessions like playing high-graphics games. There is also an special Armoured Edition of the Poco F1 available in the market. Related Read: Poco F1 Review
