The company posted a teaser on Chinese social media platform Weibo announcing that the phone will have 3.49mm chin and 1.59mm borders. Apart from this, the Chinese tech giant also confirmed that the Oppo Reno Standard Edition is fully pre-booked. Meanwhile, a tipster also tweeted about the possible specs of the phone.

Tipster Ishan Agarwal claims that the phone will be called Oppo ‘Reno 10X Zoom’. He says that the phone will measure 162.0mm x 77.2mm x 9.3mm, and weigh 215 grams. Under the hood, the Oppo Reno is said to feature the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The display is speculated to be an OLED panel and the phone will run ColorOS 6.0 baked atop Android 9.

A lot of specs have already been leaked in the past. A previous report said that the phone will have the Snapdragon 855 SoC under the hood and confirmed that Oppo Reno will sport 10x zoom capabilities. Apart from this, Oppo VP Brian Shen has already said that the phone will be equipped with a copper tube and support liquid cooling. This device is said to house a 4065mAh battery.

Certain reports claim that there are other models in the making, including a 5G variant, a rumoured Lamborghini Edition and Lite variant. The 5G variant will mandatorily have the Snapdragon 855 processor with X50 chip, and generally special edition phones ship with the top-of-the-line specs. The Lite variant is expected to come with Snapdragon 710 SoC, and is said to use “heat-conducting gel and graphite sheet” for heat dissipation.

The Lite variant of the Oppo Reno was spotted on TENAA with model number PCAM10 and PCAT10. Unlike the Standard Edition, this phone is seen with two cameras as well as a fingerprint sensor on the back. The cameras are said to have a 16MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. This variant is seen to have 4/6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, with an option to expand it via a microSD slot.
