<p dir="ltr">Samsung is expected to launch three Galaxy A-Series smartphones today at three locations: Bangkok, Milan (Italy), and Sao Paulo (Brazil). A series of conflicting developments are making the rounds on the internet just a few hours ahead of the launch. It was earlier reported that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy A90, Galaxy A40 and Galaxy A20, but the Galaxy A20 was launched in India earlier this month ruling this model out from today's launch plans. The Galaxy A70 has already been launched on the company’s home turf, but the price of the phone was not revealed. It is possible that the company will finally disclose more information about different variants of the Galaxy A70 and their prices at the event. Further, just a few hours ahead of the launch, a media report has said that the company won’t launch the Galaxy A90 and instead will unveil it as the Galaxy A80.</p> <p>According to Dutch site Mobielkopen, Samsung accidentally confirmed the Galaxy A80 name for the phone that will reportedly come with the sliding-rotating camera mechanism. Till now, all the reports have suggested that this phone will be called the Galaxy A90, however, Samsung Cine Club website has a phone listed with the name Galaxy A80 and model number SM-A805F. In fact, there is no phone with Galaxy A90 moniker. Moreover, a phone with same model number was found in a recent benchmark at the HTML5test website. Under this test, a smartphone browser it pitted against the browsers of other devices. The benchmark shows that the SM-A805F has an aspect ratio of 20: 9.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"></p> <p>Not only this, the phone also made it to the Geekbench website a day ahead of the launch. The phone bears the model number Galaxy SM-A805F - similar to the one found on above-mentioned platforms. The key specs on the Geekbench shows the phone is powered by SM 6150. The chipset is coupled with 8GB RAM, and the smartphone scores 2,488 and 6,732 points in single and multi-core tests respectively.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"></p> <p>Now that conflicting reports have created a controversy on the models of the phone that are to be launched, we'll have to wait till today evening to know what products Samsung unveils. Samsung will also be streaming the event live here in English and here in Hindi.</p> Samsung Galaxy A90/Galaxy A80 Specifications: <p dir="ltr">From the reports and leaks so far, we know that the Galaxy A90 is expected to come equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display offering a 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution. Reports suggested that it might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7150 processor. It is speculated that the Galaxy A90 might sport a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor with a lens having f/2.0 aperture, along with an 8MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture lens and a third ToF camera sensor. Recently, a Weibo users claimed that the phone will come with a battery capacity of 3,700mAh and will support 25W PD fast charging.</p> Samsung Galaxy A70 Specifications: <p>The Galaxy A70 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display, which is a name given to the display that has a u-shaped notch. Samsung says that the phone has the biggest screen in the Galaxy A portfolio to date and claims that the device provides a better, immersive edge-to-edge experience by offering a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone has an on-screen display sensor. Under the hood, the phone has an octa-core processor and an option to choose from 6GB/8GB RAM. The phone will ship with 128GB local storage that can be expanded up to 512GB.</p> <p>In the camera department, the Galaxy A70 has a triple camera system which consists of a 32MP primary sensor with the lens having F1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with F2.2 aperture and and a 5MP depth sensor with a lens having F2.2 aperture. On the front, it features a 32MP camera with F2.0. The Galaxy A70 comes with a massive 4,500 mAH battery with a bundled 25W adaptor for super-fast charging. The phone runs Samsung’s OneUI built on Android Pie 9.</p> Samsung Galaxy A20 specifications: <p dir="ltr">Samsung launched the Galaxy A20 mid-range phone in India last week. Priced at Rs 12,490, the phone sports a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-V display and is powered by an Exynos 7884 octa-core SoC with 3GB RAM. The device offers 64GB of onboard storage that can be expanded by up to 512GB via a microSD card. When it comes to the camera, the Samsung Galaxy A20 features a dual-rear camera setup with a 13MP+5MP configuration. There is a 5MP sensor that features an ultra-wide lens. For selfies, the phone is fitted with an 8MP unit. The device draws power from a 4000mAh battery and offers 15W fast charging.
