Highlights: Samung might be working on a smaller Galaxy Note device. This could be aimed at emulating the success of the Galaxy S10E. Samsung is procuring components indivdiually for two different Note devices. Now that the Samsung Galaxy S10 series has hit the market, the focus is now on the upcoming Galaxy Note. Expected to be called the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, a new report claims Samsung will launch a compact variant of the upcoming device. A South Korean report states this would be the first time Samsung will launch more than one variant of the Galaxy Note. Given that there are four models of the Samsung Galaxy S10, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Galaxy Note is also given a similar treatment. The Galaxy Note series has always been aimed at productivity enthusiasts who require a bigger screen. If the report is true, Samsung will target a new bunch of users with a smaller Galaxy Note. Reports coming out of South Korea suggests the smaller Galaxy Note may be shipped to select few markets only, especially in Europe. It could be a bid to acquire users who prefer a compact form factor and are not too comfortable using very large displays. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is expected to come with a 6.7-inch display, same as the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. It could be possible that the smaller variant will come with a 6.4-inch display, same as the Galaxy Note 9. The report outlines that Samsung is sourcing parts from the supply-chain for both models separately. That could be an indication that the two devices will come with differentiated hardware, same as the Galaxy S10E. While most of it is mere speculation at this point, it’s entirely possible that Samsung is planning to diversify the Galaxy Note series to attract more users. It’s also expected that Samsung will announce a 5G variant of the Galaxy Note 10 along with a standard 4G variant.
