Samsung Galaxy Note 10 with Exynos 9825 chipset, 8GB RAM visits Geekbench

Samsung will launch the next Note flagship on August 7 and just about 20 days ahead of the ‘Unpacked’ event at 4pm ET (August 8 at 1:30am IST) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, the phone has been spotted on Geekbench. The phone with model number SM-970F has an Exynos 9825 chipset at the heart and is married to 8GB RAM. It scores 4495 points on single-core, and 10223 on multi-core benchmarking tests.

This is not the first time that the phone has showed up on the benchmarking website. Previously, a phone with model number SM-N976B, the same chipset and RAM, passed the certification. However, the phone with model number SM-970F has scored better than SM-N976B in benchmark tests, hinting at optimisation on the software level.

Further, there’s also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-powered version with model number SM-N976V. This model sports 12GB RAM, and it scores less than the one with the model number SM-N970F in Geekbench's single-core test but gets marginally higher points in the multi-core test.

Media reports have suggested that the company will launch at least three variants of the Note 10 Series: A Galaxy Note 10, a Galaxy Note 10+ and a Galaxy Note 10 5G. Some have claimed that the South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil four models, with two being the 5G variants of the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. Both phones are likely to have similar designs, but the Plus variant is said to ship with a larger screen, bigger battery and an additional ToF optical unit on the back.

Recently, a report said that Samsung would also launch wired in-ear headphones with active noise-cancellation alongside the Galaxy Note 10. However, it is not clear whether the company would bundle these headphones in the box or will offer them as a part of some offer or with an apparent special edition of the upcoming device. Apparently, the headphones will be USB-C type and not 3.5mm because recently, a media report claimed that Samsung would do away with the 3.5mm jack in the Galaxy Note10.
