Realme X2 Pro with Snapdragon 855+, 90Hz display could launch in October

The Realme X2 was launched last week in China. The device is the successor of the Realme X. It is essentially a rebranded version of the Realme XT, which is the company’s first smartphone to sport a 64MP main camera sensor. Now, it looks like Realme is planning to launch a Pro variant of its flagship device as soon as next month.

Realme’s Chief Marketing Officer, Xu Qi Chase took to Weibo to announce that the first Realme flagship with Snapdragon 855 Plus is coming soon. He posted the message with a device named  “Realme X2 Pro Super Samurai.”

Realme X2 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset. It could be Realme’s first smartphone to come equipped with a 90Hz display. It is said to have support for 50W fast charging technology. 

Recently, a Realme device was also spotted on Bluetooth SIG with model number RMX1931. The Bluetooth listing revealed that the device would feature a 2.84GHz octa-core processor, which could be the Snapdragon 855+.  

Realme X2 Pro is expected to make its way in China next month. It could launch in India soon after. 

To recall, the Realme X2 features a 6.4-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display that has a 2340x1080p resolution. It comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 730G chipset It comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM along with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of internal storage options.

The Realme X2 sports a quad rear camera setup:  a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor + an 8MP super wide-angle camera + a 2MP depth sensor + a 2MP macro camera. It packs a  4000mAh battery that supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 technology and comes equipped with a Type-C port. It comes in Pearl Blue and Pearl White colour options.
