Flipkart teaser suggests Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite could launch on January 23 in India: Three things you need to know

Samsung launched its Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone earlier this month, along with the Galaxy Note10 Lite. While there’s no info about the latter handset and when it will be made available in India, the smartphone maker is teasing the S10 Lite India launch via its official social media channels. We previously spotted a dedicated microsite for the handset on Flipkart and now, the page has been updated with the information that it will be made available on January 23. A teaser poster of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite on Flipkart suggests that the device will make its debut in India on January 23. Here are five things you need to know about the smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite display and performance

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite comes equipped with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O Display. It sports a 2400×1080p resolution at 394ppi. As for taking care of performance and processing needs, the handset is powered by the 7nm 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. It comes equipped with 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, along with 128GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. The handset runs on OneUI 2.0, which is based on Android 10.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite cameras 

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite sports a triple rear camera setup. The main camera consists of a 48MP lens with f/2.0  aperture that supports OIS. It is supplemented with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP macro camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the front is a 32MP selfie shooter. The S10 Lite is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and the whole package is backed by a 4500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. 

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite expected price and competition 

Samsung is yet to reveal the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. However, it could be priced around the Rs 50,000 mark or slightly higher, depending on which RAM and storage models one goes for. The phone comes in Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Blue colour options. 

While the pricing is yet to be revealed, based upon the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will go up against other high-end smartphones. Its rivals include the OnePlus 7T Pro, Asus 6Z and others.
