OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro receive deep discounts after OnePlus 8 series launch

With the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro going on sale from May 11, the company announced price cuts for the now-older OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro. After the revised pricing, the OnePlus 7T Pro will be Rs 6,000 cheaper. The discount in price comes after OnePlus started accepting pre-orders for the latest OnePlus 8 series.

OnePlus slashes price of the OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro

After a Rs 6,000 price cut, the OnePlus 7T Pro (review) will be available for Rs 47,999 , down from Rs 53,999 for the 8GB RAM variant with 256GB storage. The OnePlus 7 Pro (review) with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage now starts at Rs 42,999.

The primary difference between the two smartphones is in the design and camera setup. The performance of both flagships are nearly similar with the Snapdragon 855+ and the Snapdragon 855 at the heart of the OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T, along with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. Both phones run on OnePlus’ own OxygenOS based on Android 10.

When can you buy the OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro at discounted prices?

The new prices of the OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro have started reflecting on Amazon.in and OnePlus’ own website. Unfortunately, however, the new prices can only be enjoyed by customers living in areas designated orange or green zones by the government during the third lockdown announced by the Government of India to curb the threat of coronavirus.

The discounts on the OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro comes after the OnePlus 8 series was listed for sale in India. The OnePlus 8 series is powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC and supports 5G connectivity. Both phones sport high refresh rate displays, multi-camera setup and sleek design. The OnePlus 8 Pro even boasts of water resistance and wireless charging leading to many to claim it as the first true flagship smartphone from OnePlus.

The OnePlus 8 starts at Rs 41,999 for the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage which is available exclusively on Amazon. The mid-variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage retails for Rs 44,999 while the top variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will sell for Rs 49,999.

The OnePlus 8 Pro with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage starts at Rs 54,999 while the topmost variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 59,999.

Both phones are up for pre-order on Amazon.in and will go on sale in green and orange zones from May 11.
