Vivo unveils its X50 range of flagship smartphones

Vivo has just unveiled its new X50 series of flagship smartphones. This includes the Vivo X50, Vivo X50 Pro and the Vivo X50 Pro+. As one may expect, the Vivo X50 Pro+ is the flagship smartphone and packs the most tech. However, all smartphones in the series come with a large 6.56-inch display and feature a punch-hole camera design.

Vivo X50 Pro+ features and specifications

As one might expect, the Vivo X50 Pro+ is the flagship smartphone in the range and packs a whole host of tech. However, the highlight of the phone is the rear camera.  At the back of the device is a quad rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP sensor with a periscope lens with 60x zoom, a 13MP sensor that is dedicated for a portrait photos lens and an 8MP sensor with a macro lens. The phone also comes with a gimbal system for image stabilisation, which is said to be better than tradition OIS systems. On the front is a 32MP unit

The phone packs a 4315mAh battery along with support for 44W fast charging. It also offers support for NFC.

Vivo X50 Pro

The Vivo X50 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 765 SoC and offers 8GB RAM. It packs a 6.56-inch FHD+ display that is curved at the edges. However, it offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The Vivo X50 Pro packs a similar camera setup as the  X50 Pro+, with the big difference though is that it packs a 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor. The remaining three sensors are pretty much the same. It too packs a gimbal system, which promises better OIS as compared to standard smartphone OIS solutions. For selfies, it also comes with a 32MP front camera.

The device packs a 4315mAh battery, with support for 33W fast charging. It is available in two storage variants, namely 128GB and 256GB.

Vivo X50

The standard Vivo X50 doesn’t feature the camera prowess of its ender siblings, but it is touted as being the slimmest 5G available in the world right now. Like the others, it packs a 6.56-inch FHD+ display. However, the display is flat and not curved on the sides. The device does not come with the 60x zoom periscope camera but does pack a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 13MP unit dedicated for portrait shots. At the front is a 32MP unit for selfies.

This variant packs a slightly smaller 4200mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The Vivo X50 is powered by a Snapdragon 765 SoC with 8GB RAM and is available with 128GB or 256G storage.
