Netflix is testing out a 10-month pause feature on the platform

Just about a month ago, Netflix said that it will be sending emails and notifications to users who have not logged in or used their service for a year since they joined. And, if the user did not respond to the email, Netflix would cancel the account. Now, the streaming giant is offering users an option to ‘pause’ their subscriptions and resume it when they want to. Netflix offered users an option to cancel their subscription but now is offering the option to pause it. Users can actually pause their memberships for 10 months.

If you do decide to resume your account in a span of 10 months or less, all your recommendations, watch history and the like will all be accessible. In a statement to Gadgets 360, Netflix said, “We're always working on new ways to improve the Netflix experience. We experiment with these types of tests in different countries for different periods of time — and only make them broadly available if people find them useful.”. The news was first reported by OnlyTech.

You can just resume your account again within 10 months of the pause period and you will retain your Netflix account along with its details, profiles and much more.

In other Netflix news, the streaming giant is now testing out its Mobile+ plan, priced at Rs 349 per month in India. You can read more about that here. Also, here’s a handy guide on how you can move individual titles from Netflix's 'Continue Watching' section.
