The hype surrounding the launch of FAU-G was pretty evident when the game was announced a few months ago. However, the pre-registration of the game has given us some numbers to back the hype. According to nCore Games, the developers of FAU-G, the game received over 1 million pre-registrations within a span of 24 hours. The company also claims that this is the highest number of pre-registrations in India in under 24 hours.
Thank you for a fantastic response! Highest number of pre-registrations in India in less than 24 hours! 1+ million and counting... #FAUG #BeFearless Pre-register now at: https://ift.tt/2VvhVlo @akshaykumar @dayanidhimg pic.twitter.com/jXXStGFlWR
— nCORE Games (@nCore_games) December 2, 2020However, one might argue that the number of pre-registrations could have been even higher had there not been certain issues regarding compatibility. Many users claim that they were unable to register for the game due to compatibility issues. The reason for the incompatibility is not yet known, but users say that their phone’s hardware should be more than enough for the game to run.
Digit.in had reached out to Vishal Gondal, Advisor and Investor in nCore Games, and he said that the team had identified the problem and would be issuing a fix soon. On December 1, the game’s listing on the Google Play Store notes that the game was updated and was made compatible with more devices.
While the launch of FAU-G may happen soon, PUBG Mobile India may take longer to be available. According to reports, PUBG Mobile India officials are unable to hold a meeting with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). This meeting would allegedly decide if the permission to relaunch PUBG Mobile will be granted or not. To recall, PUBG Mobile India was announced a few weeks ago and the teasers started popping up after Diwali. However, the game’s developers have been pretty quiet since.
