PUBG Corporation is hiring in India, but PUBG Mobile India re-release is uncertain

Ever since PUBG Mobile was banned in India back in September last year, there's a lot of speculation about whether it will ever make a comeback. Although we see plenty of reports on a daily basis suggesting the game's comeback, the fate of PUBG Mobile in India remains uncertain.

On the same lines, we have yet another piece of info that can be tied to the game's comeback. It looks like PUBG Corporation is hiring people to work from its Bengaluru office. The company posted some listings on LinkedIn which suggests that they are looking for an Investment & Strategy Analyst.

The listing is for an associate-level position and is looking for someone who can support the senior team in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investment, and more. This particular listing was posted at around midnight, March 18.

The responsibilities and duties described in the listing say they are looking for someone to support the senior team in “evaluation and analysis of M&A/Investment opportunities, including conducting gaming/entertainment/tech industry research and analysis." The candidate will also have to “support in key corporate strategic planning processes” and support the “process and global deal flow evaluation with respect to India and MENA regions.”

While the listing doesn't provide any confirmation about PUBG Mobile's comeback in India, it does show that some work is being done behind the scenes and they are still growing the office in the country.

This, by the way, isn't the first time PUBG Corporation has posted a job listing in India post the game's official ban in the country. The company was looking for a Corporate Development Division Manager in India back in October 2020 too.

This report also reminds us about the time when Krafton Games didn't open pre-registrations in India for its new version of PUBG Mobile called PUBG: New State and instead said they are focusing on bringing the original game back. So perhaps they are still focusing on that and a lot of work is still going into it behind the scenes.
