Crypto Exchange CoinDCX on Monday has appointed Amitabh Bachchan as its brand ambassador. Amitabh Bachchan, popularly Big B, will act as a brand ambassador of CoinDCX, one of India’s most popular crypto exchanges to promote cryptocurrency as an asset class. “Through this collaboration, CoinDCX wants to increase awareness around crypto and popularise crypto as an emerging asset class,” the company said in a press note.
“Through Mr Bachchan, CoinDCX wants to convey that it is at the forefront when it comes to the safety of its users and being compliant with all the regulations. In addition, the brand aims to educate prospective users about the crypto space”, the company further said.
Amitabh Bachchan’s NFT collection will be up for bidding in NovemberAs per various media reports, Amitabh Bachchan will be launching his NFT collection in November. In the world of cryptocurrencies, NFT stands for Non – Fungible Token - a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, called a blockchain. Every data stored on a blockchain is unique. Some rare NFTs are auctioned for millions of dollars.

Amitabh Bachchan is also the brand ambassador of ‘RBI Kehta Hai’ campaignThe ‘angry young man of Bollywood’ is also the brand ambassador of RBI’s customer awareness programme – ‘RBI Kehta Hai’ or ‘RBI Says’. Through this campaign, the central bank keeps informing the do’s and don’ts that one should follow to transact safely and securely. The megastar was also seen promoting digital banking during the lockdown.

With Mr Bachchan joining CoinDCX as its first brand ambassador, he will be also seen promoting crypto awareness campaigns. RBI on multiple occasions have raised their concerns about cryptocurrencies, as they are not regulated. Notably, RBI had banned cryptocurrency in April 2018. The Supreme Court in March ’20 had allowed trading in cryptocurrencies. Later, RBI clarified that the circular was no longer valid as it was set aside by the Supreme Court.
