The Facebook-owned WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new update that’ll allow users to pause voice message recordings and fix a chat backup issue as well. The news comes after a report from WABetaInfo which claims that WhatsApp will release these new features for Android and iOS users. These new features are currently under development and therefore will likely launch a bit late for beta testers.
WhatsApp Update New Features: Pause Voice RecordingsThe report also released a video showing how the new WhatsApp feature will work when released. While recording a voice message users will see a pause button allowing them to resume/pause the recording. The video shows an example of how the new features might work when released. Most likely, the new features will look and function a bit differently when officially released.
Fix WhatsApp Chat BackupWABetaInfo also reported on a brand new feature that solves the problem of chat backup restoration stuck at 100%. A method originally found by the Reddit user (u/torojet), the new method allows the user to completely restore the WhatsApp chat backup.
