Google has already released the first beta version of Android 14 and the official announcement took place this week at Google I/O 2023. The primary topic of discussion at the conference was that of incorporating artificial intelligence to the devices and the softwares to make a personalised user experience for the users.
While most of the software upgrades for operating systems seems like an overlay of the previous one, Google has taken the effort to experiment with the system and add on new features that can be explored by the users and further the mission of AI infusion for the devices. New features of Android 14To start with, Android 14 is on the second beta test and it is speculated that now the operating system will be sent out to other devices too other than just the Pixel phone, such as Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo among others. Starting with the redesigning of widgets, the new system allows the user to customise the lock screen with new fonts, clock sizes and colours. The update will feature customisable Emoji and Cinematic wallpapers wherein 3D images are created using on-device machine learning networks. Moving on to more interesting features, the brand has been showing its inclination towards incorporating AI. Android 14 can be expected to have a feature wherein the users can generate unique wallpapers demanding on the prompts that are suggested by the users. However, this feature will be limited to Pixel devices only and they are expected to get it by the end of next month.
