The winner will probably will get a Redmi suitcase. OnePlus 7 Pro 6GB RAM variant, which sells for Rs 48,999, costs Rs 22,359 in components: Report

The OnePlus 7 Pro is the company’s latest flagship handset with which the company aims to take on premium flagship phones by other companies like Samsung and Apple. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the handset is sold for Rs 48,999 in India but how much do you reckon it costs to build the OnePlus 7 Pro? Well, as per a leaked BOM cost sheet of the handset, the sum of components used on the OnePlus 7 Pro is $324.21 or Rs 22,359. As per the leaked sheet pricing, the most expensive component of the OnePlus 7 Pro is the 6.5-inch AMOLED display that the company sources from Samsung, which is listed for $80 (Rs 5,400 approx).

The second most expensive component is said to be the Snapdragon 855 chip, which is reported to cost  $70 (Rs 4,800 approx). The handset comes equipped with triple rear cameras consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom  and a 16MP Ultra-wide camera. This camera setup is apparently priced at $27.29 (Rs 1,922 approx), while the 6GB PDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage are listed for $26 (Rs 1,785 approx) and $20 (Rs 1,372 approx) respectively. While the cost of components might add up to $324.21 or Rs 22,359, it doesn’t take into account the labour, production, marketing, distribution and other costs.

We previously came across a similar BOM sheet for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. It revealed that the 128GB storage version of the phone, which retails at a price of $999, costs about $420 in parts. In this case too, the display was reported to be the costliest component, which was listed for $86.50 (roughly Rs 6,200), and was followed by the applications processor and modems at $70. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 with Exynos 9825 chipset, 8GB RAM visits Geekbench

Samsung will launch the next Note flagship on August 7 and just about 20 days ahead of the ‘Unpacked’ event at 4pm ET (August 8 at 1:30am IST) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, the phone has been spotted on Geekbench. The phone with model number SM-970F has an Exynos 9825 chipset at the heart and is married to 8GB RAM. It scores 4495 points on single-core, and 10223 on multi-core benchmarking tests.

This is not the first time that the phone has showed up on the benchmarking website. Previously, a phone with model number SM-N976B, the same chipset and RAM, passed the certification. However, the phone with model number SM-970F has scored better than SM-N976B in benchmark tests, hinting at optimisation on the software level.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Geekbench

Further, there’s also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-powered version with model number SM-N976V. This model sports 12GB RAM, and it scores less than the one with the model number SM-N970F in Geekbench's single-core test but gets marginally higher points in the multi-core test.

Media reports have suggested that the company will launch at least three variants of the Note 10 Series: A Galaxy Note 10, a Galaxy Note 10+ and a Galaxy Note 10 5G. Some have claimed that the South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil four models, with two being the 5G variants of the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. Both phones are likely to have similar designs, but the Plus variant is said to ship with a larger screen, bigger battery and an additional ToF optical unit on the back.

Recently, a report said that Samsung would also launch wired in-ear headphones with active noise-cancellation alongside the Galaxy Note 10. However, it is not clear whether the company would bundle these headphones in the box or will offer them as a part of some offer or with an apparent special edition of the upcoming device. Apparently, the headphones will be USB-C type and not 3.5mm because recently, a media report claimed that Samsung would do away with the 3.5mm jack in the Galaxy Note10.

PUBG Mobile v0135 update to roll out today: Heres everything you need to know

PUBG Mobile will be updated to version 0.13.5 today. The developers made the announcement on social media, and gamers should see a notification for the same when booting up the game. The update is said to require at least 181MB of storage space on iOS and 158MB on Android. The developers note that those with different versions of the game will not be able to invite each other, so players are advised to update the game at the earliest. Another incentive to update the game quickly is in the form of ‘Parachute Trail*1’ and 1,888BP. However, these rewards will only be available to those who update the game between July 16 and 22.

New weapon

One of the most notable additions to the game is the introduction of a new weapon, the PP-19 Bizon. This is the fifth submachine gun added to the game and it uses 9mm rounds. The weapon will be available on Erangel and Vikendi, and features a 53-round magazine. However, it does not support magazine upgrades. In fact, the weapon only support muzzle and scopes (up to 6x) .

The game notes that the gun has a single shot damage of 35, and a fire-rate close to that of the UMP. Thanks to its large magazine, the weapon can be pretty handy early in the game, but the lack of upgrades means that its usefulness may go down later in the match.

New Season

The update also brings with it Season 8. The most notable of the new additions is a new season interface. The classic mode results screen has also been adjusted. Another feature that has been adjusted is the Season 8 rewards screen. The entire Season 8 outfit will now be available at Gold tier. Reaching Diamond tier will give players access to Season-exclusive weapon finishes.

Tier rewards have also been adjusted such that players who reach Crown or above will get a special team-joining effect and name tags. Reaching Ace or above will result in a permanent season title. Other changes include new tier transfer rules. Players below Gold are transferred as-is to the next season.

Royale Pass

With a new season somes a new Royale Pass. This time around, it seems to be ocean/summer-themed where players will discover “some long lost treasures in the ocean.” It also brings players the option to ask friends for Elite Pass or Elite Pass Plus. Further, the game is celebrating the first anniversary of Royale Pass, and is launching some Season 2 and Season 3 events again. This will allow players to get their hands on some of these rare items.

Other changes include the addition of Third Person Perspective to team Deathmatch Room mode. There are also new ‘Rating Protection’ cards that are available in ‘duration’ and ‘uses’ varinants. These will take effect when ratings change and no ratings will be deducted when the card is active.

PUBG Mobile also gets a new High Frame Rate option to HDR mode. This will be available for some high-end devices only, and can be accessed via the Graphics option in Settings. However, users are warned that turning this on will result in higher battery drain.

The iOS version of the game gets a background download and update feature. This means that when iOS players are downloading a new patch, the app can be sent to the background. Further, PMCO themed events will be added in “late July.” After completing the missions, players will be able to listen to the new PMCO song by Alan Walker and will also get the PMCO theme for the main menu.

Besides this, the game also recieves a bunch of fixes and improvements. You can check out the entire patch notes about PUBG Mobile v0.13.5 here.
