Fortnite Maker Epic Games to Shut Down Houseparty Video Chat App in October

Epic Games has decided to discontinue the Houseparty social video chat app. The app that was released in 2016 has already been removed from App Store and Google Play.  Existing users can continue to use it until the service is fully shut down in October.

In order to register for the Garena Free Fire OB30 Advance Server, players will need to head over to the Advance Server’s. That can be accessed via this link. 

Then they will have to login via Facebook in order to confirm their identity and account. They will then be presented with a form that they will have to fill up with the necessary details. After that, they can simply press the ‘Join Now’ button to proceed to download the game. 

It should be noted that Garena will only send out Activation Codes to a limited nume of players. Once the server is full, players will not be able to receive 

As mentioned earlier, while players who are a part of the Advance Server will get an early look at all the new additions and features, the game will not be in a stable state. As such, they might encounter a number of bugs during their playthrough. These bugs need to be notified to the developers so that they can be ironed out. 

After September 16, the OB30 Advance Server will no longer be playable. Players will have to wait for the stable release of OB30 for Garena Free Fire if they wish to play.

BSNL will end all Prepaid Broadband Plans and will migrate existing users to new Postpaid Plan

Indian Telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) made some changes to its broadband plans. Reportedly the company has discontinued all the prepaid broadband services as the customer base for the plan is very small, which means the company will no longer allow prepaid payment for the DSL (Digital subscriber line) plans. Subsequently, the company will shift its existing prepaid customers to postpaid plans. The prepaid plan comes with benefits like mobility, control on internet rate, sharing of DSL broadband connections. Further, in prepaid plans, customers have the option to move to other plans according to their requirements.

BSNL discontinues prepaid plans

According to Kerala Telecom, the company has directed all telecom circles to migrate existing prepaid broadband customers to postpaid plans through transferring existing prepaid account balances in a form of credit in their postpaid accounts. Besides reports also suggest that customers who are interested can also move to BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) or Bharat Air Fiber plans.

The prepaid plans started from as low as Rs 200 per month and the prepaid customers can use their broadband account anywhere in the country and can also share it with other people using broadband connections. In spite of these benefits, the customers of the segment are not as many because of which BSNL has considered new changes. 

BSNL Special Offer for existing customers

BSNL also announced a special discount scheme for present landline customers who are migrating to BSNL FTTH, the scheme will facilitate the smooth migration of prepaid DSL connections. According to the reports, the company is offering a discount of Rs 600 to the users who are migrating.

Jio Fiber launches six new quarterly postpaid broadband plans: Heres everything you need to know

Jio Fiber has launched six new postpaid plans in India. When it comes to postpaid plans, the telecom operator had 6 and 12-months postpaid plans only. They have now expanded with the addition of six quarterly postpaid plans. These plans start at ₹2,097, exclusive of GST charges, with a base plan of 100Mbps.

Jio Fiber Quarterly Postpaid Plans and Pricing

Jio Fiber offers a base plan, priced at ₹2,097. It includes 100Mbps of upload and download speeds, unlimited data and voice calling benefits for three months. Here, you won't be getting any additional benefits like OTT subscriptions. This will set you back by about ₹699 per month on this plan.

Jio Fiber also offers a plan with 150Mbps speed, voice calling for three months. and will cost you about ₹2,997. Here, you will also get free access to various streaming platforms, which includes AltBalaji, Amazon Prime Video, Discovery+, Disney+ Hotstar, Eros Now, HoiChoi, JioSaavn, JioCinema, Lionsgate Play, ShemarooMe, SonyLIV, Sun NXT, Voot Kids, Voot Select, and Zee5. 

Jio Fiber six-month plans explained

There is also a quarterly postpaid plan of ₹4,497, which offers 300Mbps speed and voice calling support. You get access to all the OTT services provided with the ₹2,997 Jio Fiber broadband plan with the addition of Netflix's Basic plan.

For consumers who are looking for a 500Mbps broadband plan, Jio Fiber offers it at ₹7,497 with 500Mbps speed and voice calling support. The rest of the privileges are similar to the ₹4,497 Jio Fiber broadband plan. 

You can maximize your internet experience with a broadband plan consisting of 1Gbps upload and download speed at ₹11,997. In this plan, you will get voice calling benefits and access to all 15 OTT platforms, just like the previous plans.

In all the plans mentioned above, you will have to pay GST along with the prices mentioned, and you receive about 3300GB of data to use in the three months of the billing cycle. The company has taken this decision to avoid abuse of Unlimited Data benefits. 

The company says, "To avoid abuse of Unlimited Data benefits by a few that affects the vast majority of other users, for such plans, RJIL will identify and treat any consumption by a customer beyond 3300 GB of data in a bill cycle; as misuse of the benefits provided. Upon reaching such a limit in a bill cycle, RJIL reserves the right to withdraw the plan benefits in the form of data use for such consumers without giving any prior notice."

If you want more data, then you can opt for the ₹25,497 plan. It offers the same benefits as the previous plan, 1Gbps speed, voice calling and 15 OTT subscription, along with 6600GB of data per month.
