WhatsApp Will Reportedly Let You Search Past Participants: How It Works

WhatsApp appears to be working on several new features and frequently we come across leaks revealing the same. The newest addition to this list is the ability to check past participants. Yes, for some reason, WhatsApp will let you check who left the group in the last 60 days. This kind of contradicts an earlier report that WhatsApp will allow its users to surreptitiously leave a group. In any case, the new leak which comes from WABetaInfo has some details and a screenshot of the Past Participants search feature. Let’s check it out.

WhatsApp Past Participants: How It Works (Supposedly)

WhatsApp

Sharing the screenshot, WABetaInfo posted, “Thanks to this screenshot, you can understand that all group members will be able to view who left the group in the past 60 days by opening this new section that will be available right within group info. So, past participants will be removed from this list after 60 days. This feature is under development so we don’t know when it will be released”.

Meanwhile here’s how you can silently exit the group:

WhatsApp

Well, it’s simple. When you exit a WhatsApp group, only group admins will know that you have left. There won’t be a system message in the chat to intimate others that you have bounced.

Apple Lets You Subscribe To Netflix iOS Externally: How It Works

Going forward if you try to subscribe to the Netflix app on iOS from within the app, you would be able to do it from the Netflix website. You don’t have to take the app subscription through Apple App Store. This is part of a broader policy change by Apple that lets you subscribe to app services from the respective developer’s site. In this case, it is Netflix, but you see, it won’t be limited to just that. In Apple’s lingo, this applies to all “reader” apps which means the apps that offer digital content like video, music, audio, book, newspaper, magazines, etc.

Here’s How The External Subscription Button Works For Netflix And Other Apps

Netflix

So, while you hit the subscribe button on Netflix, you will get the following message as a pop-up:

“Any accounts or purchases made outside of this app will be managed by the developer “Netflix.” Your App Store account stored payment methods, and related features, such as subscription management and refund requests, will not be available. Apple is not responsible for the privacy or security of transactions made with this developer”.

Netflix

Now if you are okay with the message, press Continue, and that directs you to the Netflix website. Therein you enter your personal details, select a payment method, and pick a Netflix plan.

Now if you are wondering what’s the big deal about this Apple Policy Change, then know that this lets Netflix avoid paying the 30% (up to 1 year) or 15% (after 1 year) Apple Tax for each new subscription payment made within iOS apps.

Additionally, the TV also gets two actuators on the sides which enhance the high-frequency sound, producing clear and realistic communication.

Further, the new TVs feature ambient optimisation technology that automatically adjusts the picture brightness to room conditions. But that's not all. They also help adjust the picture and sound to the environment. The latter is done using the help of the acoustic auto calibration technology which detects the viewer’s position in the room and optimises sound.

Sony has announced that the 65-inch Bravia XR OLED TV starts at ₹2.79 lakh, with the 77-inch Bravia XR OLED TV being priced at ₹6.99 lakh. Both the variants are available for purchase in India. There is also a third 55-inch variant of the TV. However, the company has not announced the price or availability details of the TV yet.
