Highlights: Relame 1, Realme 2 Pro and Realme U1 to receive Android 9 Pie update. Realme says the update will arrive for the phones in the first half of 2019. The handsets will also be updated with Nightscape camera mode. Realme added a new Nightscape mode on its Realme 3 smartphone to enable capturing of better low light images. The feature was available only on the company’s latest handset that runs on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. However, during the launch, Realme CEO, Madhav Sheth announced that the new camera mode will also make its way to the company's older phones, in the first half of 2019, along with the Android 9 Pie update. Now, Sheth has confirmed that the Realme 1, Realme 2 Pro and the Realme U1 are the three older handsets by the company that will receive the new update in H1, 2019. There’s no exact date on which the above-said smartphone users will get to download the update. As for the Nightscape mode, it is said to enable capturing of brighter images that have less noise and more details. It also takes the help of AI and employs “multi-frame synergy and the anti-shake algorithm.” Coming to the Realme 3, the smartphone comes equipped with a 6.3-inch HD+ screen with a 19:9 display aspect ratio and a dewdrop notch design. It runs on the 12nm MediaTek Helio P70 SoC that can clock up to 2.1GHz speeds. It is backed by a 4230 mAh battery and comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Rm 1, 2 Pro, and U1 users will get the “Nightscape” mode to arrive with their Android Pie update within the first half of 2019.
