Huawei unveiled its foldable Mate X smartphone at Barcelona, during MWC earlier this year. The foldable display on the device sure looked promising but no one was allowed to physically experience how it works or feels when the screen is folded. The company recently announced that the handset would be brought to India later this year but didn’t provide an exact date. A slip-up from the company’s side might have accidentally revealed when the device will be made available for purchase. The company reportedly listed the phone by accident on its online official online store in China, Vmall.

The listing has been taken down now but a Russian site managed to get a screenshot of it. As per the image, the Huawei Mate X is supposed to be released in June. Specifications of the device are already known, and there was no price mentioned on the leaked listing. It is a 5G smartphone that is equipped with the company’s Balong 5000 chip. The smartphone employs a 'Falcon Wing' mechanical hinge for enabling folding on its display which, when folded, is 6.6 inches in size with the OLED panel sporting a 2480 x 1148p resolution. When unfolded, the phone features an 8-inch display with a resolution of 2480 X 2200 pixels.

The phone folds inwards, which enables it to use a single camera for snapping images in both the main camera and selfie mode. The Mate X is equipped with a 40MP wide-angle camera, a 16MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports Huawei’s Super Charge at a wattage of up to 55 watts. The Huawei Mate X comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and is priced at 2,299 euros. The handset measures 11mm thick when folded, and 5.5mm thick when unfolded.

Related Reads:

Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone to launch in India later this year

Samsung unfolds Galaxy Fold with two displays, six cameras and app optimisations
