It’s only natural that we should start seeing some juicy offers on older Samsung Galaxy models now that the Galaxy Note 9 has been announced. Available for pre-orders in India since the launch event in New York, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will officially launch in India on August 22. While that happens, the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, and Galaxy Note 8 get discounts and cashback offers. Let’s explore them. To celebrate the Independence Day gone by, Samsung is offering a cashback offer for customers who buy through its online store, Samsung Shop, using an HDFC Bank card. The cashback offer ends on August 31. For the Galaxy Note 9, the price of the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is Rs 67,900, while the price of the top-end variant with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is Rs 84,900. HDFC credit card holders can avail a cashback of Rs 6,000 on either variant. Additionally, holders of major credit cards can avail a no-cost EMI option. What’s more, buyers of the Galaxy Note 9 can get their hands on the Samsung Gear Sport fitness watch for a price of Rs 4,999 instead of the original price of Rs 22,900. The Galaxy Note 9 can be bought in Midnight Black, Ocean Blue, and Metallic Copper colours. The older Galaxy S9 gets an instant cashback of Rs 5,000 in addition to the HDFC Bank card offer that’s applicable to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. So, that’s another cashback of Rs 6,000 on the Galaxy S9. All put together, the Galaxy S9, which originally retailed for a price of Rs 57,900 can be bought for Rs 46,900 after both cashback offers have been applied. The cashback offer is applicable to both variants of the smartphone: the 128GB and the 256GB storage variants. The Galaxy S9’s bigger brother, the Galaxy S9+ also gets an instant cashback, but it’s only for a value of Rs 3,000. The HDFC Bank card offer, which gives the buyer a cashback offer of Rs 6,000, is applicable to the Galaxy S9+ as well. The model also gets an additional exchange value of up to Rs 6,000, depending on the model being traded in. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8, predecessor to the Galaxy Note 9, also gets the HDFC Bank card offer but for only an amount of Rs 4,000 and not Rs 6,000. There is, however, an exchange value of up to Rs 4,000, again, depending on the model being traded in. Older models Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ sell with an additional exchange value of up to Rs 4,000 and get the HDFC Bank card offer for Rs 4,000. Apart from this, both phones get an instant cashback of Rs 4,000. Lastly, the Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8 get a cashback offer of Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 respectively if the buyer uses an ICICI Bank credit card.
